SEBRAE Top 100 Award of Handicraft 5ª ed.

After a long period of stagnant sales due to the pandemic of COVID-19, Brazilian handicrafts re-emerge with a surprising vitality, showing its resilience and its capacity for renewal, as demonstrated by the 100 production units who are the winners of this 5 Edition. Likewise, the Sebrae TOP 100 Award of Brazilian Handicrafts - after six years since its lost edition - returns as the most important Initiatioe to identify and award the artisanal segment, the Importance of which is internationally recognized. Thirty judges, with renowned experience in the artisanal segment, analyzed in three different stages the competing units, frst evoluating the aesthetic, technical, symbolic, and creatiue quality of the products, then the management practices; social, cultural, and environmental commitments; as well as the commercial experience and strategies to odopt to the new market requirements. For the winners, this award means new opportunities; for consumers, a representative and qualified offer of Brazilian handicrafts; and, for public administrators, a source of updated and reliable information, which allows them to support their decision-making processes in the formulation of public policies for artisonal handicrafts.
